20 June 2026 Workshop
Moira McLennaghan from the Glasgow and West of Scotland Guild of Silk Painting gave a very interesting and enjoyable workshop to show our participants various ways of achieving colourful results on silk fabric.  Using paints, gutta and water, Moira demonstrated different effects and techniques on the pieces of silk. 

We all tried a fish outline in a wooden hoop, followed by several 5" x 7" pre-prepared outlines with a range of themes from animals to wildlife, etc.  Moira was very generous with her expertise and guidance, giving the group plenty of top tips, as well as aperture cards to frame the painted blocks.
